Magnificent Pottery Pieces!

As most of you may know by now, I have a passion for pottery!  There is something so intricate yet simple, delicate yet sturdy, warm yet cool, to each and every piece of pottery I have ever seen. I have written other posts on pottery, and will continue to bring you some beautiful works of art for you to bring into your home.  You will always cherish your pottery pieces as I do mine.  I have recently come across some absolutely magnificent pottery pieces and would like you to check them out below!  I have included some unique Chinese pottery pieces that I hope you find inspiring!  Scroll through and I know you will find a piece that speaks to you!

Wisteria is a great company and I am happy to be affiliated with them.  Here is their story from their website:

At Wisteria, we believe every home tells a story; that each piece should have personal meaning to express you and your unique style.

The inspiration for Wisteria came from our families and our love of travel. Shannon and I dreamt of sharing the unique treasures we found around the globe with others, while at the same time finding a way to help make the world a better place. Our approach from the beginning reflects our aspirations to be good people and do good work.

Early on we recognized we needed to surround ourselves with smart, creative minds to help us develop the best product we could, unique designs that couldn’t be found anywhere else. We built a brand team, including a national design publisher, an interior decorator, a design stylist, a photographer and art historian, and an antiques expert all collaborating with Shannon and me. This amazingly gifted team had over 100 years of combined experience in design and decor. Our collection incorporates many pieces designed and developed by our skilled Wisteria team.

At first, we had a small operation from our dining room table. Now, we have over 100 employees, a store in Dallas, Texas, an engaging website, and support a different nonprofit organization each month. It’s been over a decade since we stepped on that first plane, and we’re so excited for our next trip to find great things. We hope you’ll continue to join us on this crazy, wonderful adventure.

When you bring a magnificent pottery piece into your home, whether you place it in a stand alone display or in a grouping, you will have a piece of art that speaks to who you are.  The designs and the artwork displayed on the piece can bring your "self" into the room.  So enjoy!

  1. I just love the way you have portrayed the specific magnificence of handcrafts. Being from the same background of niche hope you might have your products unveiled a little more than you did. It is very prolific and influencing all the way and the pictures signifies the most of it. Best things a s a niche as your decor seems shopaholic.

    1. I know this post was a little short and I apologize.  I just wanted to show off the pottery and not my words!  Thank you for checking it out and I promise I will write more soon!

  2. For Chinese people, pottery and ceramic manipulating techniques have a deep root in our culture. This is why it is not only the flower pots we use that have intricate designs to them. Even our bowls, special steam vases, and even chopsticks have nice designs to them, just like the one you shown here. Wisteria seems to be very passionate about this art. This is awesome, because there are less chinese people doing it nowadays. Pretty soon, it might become a lost art for us. Hopefully Wisteria will keep it alive. Chinese people tend to enjoy “luck” and “fortune”. If pottery of this type were made in more innovate ways, I am sure there would be even more popularity than before. According to your experience, what do you think?

    1. Thank you so much for your comment! I too hope that Wisteria keeps providing such beautiful pottery and I’m sure they will! I did not realize that Chinese people were using the ancient pottery designs. We must do something to bring this invaluable piece of history back.  I think we can all use more “luck” and “fortune” don’t you? I personally want to see more handmade pottery because for me knowing that someone crafted a piece of beauty is inspiring!

  3. I think it is so cool that you can do so much with something your are passionate about. The designs on your ceramic pots are so beautiful! My wife and I have always appreciated Native American pottery, and your designs are so inspiring! I have been thinking of starting making my own pots, but I don’t think I could ever make them as nice as your. Thank you!

    1. I am so glad you like them!  I too appreciate the Native American pottery.  Isn’t it amazing what they can do with clay!  I love them! If you do take a pottery making class, please let me know. Thanks so much for your comments!
